                           Journey of a father

The day she told him about their first child he was somewhere on the 9th sky. He made the announcement, ‘we are pregnant’. It was the 1st sonography when they saw their child that looked like a caterpillar wrapped into the cocoon. The smile they both shared was magical into their world. After 12 weeks they heard the very 1st sound of its heartbeat and that was the turning point of their life. Things started to change, the space was being made for the new ones.  Every stuff that seemed to be harmful for the baby even if it was important to them was being replaced. In this whole while it was not only the mother who gone through a lot. The father too had gone through many countless changes. He did double shifts to give everything to his child, came home as early as he could so that the mother won’t feel low. Many times he made meals and said nothing about his health. He was tired, he was tensed but the moments when his eyes caught his baby breathing inside his wife made him even more energetic. Within the blink of eyes, nine months passed by and the delivery day was there. She was in the hospital. He got the phone call at his office, he rushed to the hospital and the moment he saw his wife he was in tears. He hugged her saying, ‘I still love you and will always do’.  After the wait of hours the voice of the baby broke that silence that was into his heart. It was a baby girl. The girl, who was going to be called as princess of her father and piece of her mother’s heart. Everyone was looking for her mother and he was standing still holding her into his arms, tears rolling down from his cheeks and that smile on his face remained unnoticed. That moment of a daughter and father was captured into her eyes and into his heart. The world says, fathers don’t express their love but no one noticed his glittery eyes while looking at his baby. Time is something that won’t stop no matter how hard you try and so his princess started growing. She was not like her mom but she was the copy of his father including genes, habits and smile. She measured the roads riding on his shoulders. She learnt to write by holding his hand, she learnt to walk while holding his finger into her fist. She learnt what life is from his father’s lessons.  The single tear into her eyes made him shattered inside and every smile of hers was like a month of spring to him. The time when she turned 18 her father told her that now she will fly into the land of her dreams and no one will stop until he is standing by her side. The reason a daughter is princess to her father is because she has captured the moment that was noticed by none. Her warmth soul always craved to make his father proud one day and so she walked her way to success holding his hands without his knowing. At the age of 21 she completed her graduations and now she knew that it was her time to do things for her father. She had seen him working over the nights with no sleep into his eyes. She had seen him working in fever, working with swelled ankles. She had seen him in pain, in tears and often crying. Nothing had ever stopped him to things for his family. She decided to give him the life he wanted to live. When she got her 1st job her whole salary was for the clothes that he never bought for himself just to buy her new and for the trips that he had into his list. On his 40th birthday she got him a present, a car, the eyes full of tears with that same smile she captured was totally relatable.

When the time turned her 28 it was the time for her to make a new home leaving her own. She loved a boy in whom she found the soul similar to her father. The day on the wedding ceremony who was the happiest? Dear daddy.  He did everything to raise her up with all the comfort and happiness she wanted. He invested his whole life to raise his princess and to let her go.  At the wedding ceremony when it was the time to wave her the good bye, he shattered. It was like someone is taking his heart away, like someone is asking him to breathe without life and again while giving her the bye hug his daughter captured the moment she did before at the very first time, eyes full of tears and the glittered smile. And she told her husband to be the father like her father one day.

Dear daddy, you will always be my hero.

I miss myself ❤️, strong me.

The cuddle, feeling of love.

It all seems like it happened just yesterday, you looking into my eyes and saying, ‘just you, all I want’. It’s been like years and I still feel that it all happened just yesterday. When was the first time we reciprocated with the peak of love? Um… the day I came to your house, the day you brought me the pudding from your mom’s kitchen silently and asked me to wait but I didn’t and had the whole. That moment you smiled at me and kissed me saying, ‘such a foodie you are.’ That was the 1 st time when I was wrapped into your arms and you started irritating me with your beard. The ‘1 st cuddle’ was highlighted in our togetherness. Something beautiful feeling it was. Being into your arms was like being shield by the most powerful weapon so that no one can even think of harming me because I was into you, just you.   Fighting for the same pillow, same bed side and for the same blanket. Is it not going to be counted as cuddle? Why not? Didn’t we make the same ‘us’ moment while d...

I was happy again and started living the way I used to do before. Schools were over and it was time to enter the new phase of life, ‘The college life’.   The admissions were going on and I was still confused whether   to   take admission or to drop this year.   Then it came the family counseling that every person has experienced and so it happened with me too. I applied for the DU colleges a...
